“A Tale of two cities” is a collection of four sofas which mixes Marta’s two favourite cities and the places she calls home. The structure is inspired by an antique sofa which Marta has in her home in Madrid, while the fabric and colours are reminiscent of stories and memories of Biarritz. The Gaztelur Conservatory sofa is inspired by the light in the greenhouse on the Gaztelur grounds. Gaztelur is a maison de maître from 1401. It’s a family business which houses her father’s passion, the collection of antiques, and a lovely restaurant where homemade food is served.
The large greenhouse in the gardens was built by Marta’s father, Javier. It has the most incredible light; soft tones of pink and burnt orange give it a magical atmosphere and set the scene for the most magnificent dinners. This sofa is a tribute to his vision!
