Guiseppe Arcimboldo and Philip Haas
My visit to the Philip Haas installation at the Bronx Botanical Garden in New York has made me interested about the sixteenth century Italian painter.
He became the portraitist of the Habsburg court but he is remembered for his unique human heads made by assembling different fruits, vegetables, flowers, roots or objects like books.
Contemporary American artist, Philip Haas, has been inspired by Arcimboldo and shows us his legacy in three dimensions and in a colossal scale.
Worth a visit!!!
